Although many people will miss Dr. Joan Tannenbaum as she transitions from counselor to Latin teacher, Ms. Carolyn Fasana will make an excellent replacement. Like Dr. Tannenbaum, she will be responsible for students with last names Rau-Stuq. Ms. Fasana is well-qualified to assist students by guiding them in course selection and helping them to make important decisions about their future. She has had much experience in the past working with students. Additionally, she holds a master’s degree in Counseling and Development as well as a post-master’s certificate in School Counseling. Her interest in counseling began from her enjoyment in helping students in all the ways that she can. “I like children and I want to make the world a better place in some small way [through counseling],” said Fasana. In order to give students a smoother transition between counselors, Fasana is taking common courtesies to better develop her relationship with her students. She also welcomes students into her office any time. “Drop by to say hello, my door is always open,” said Fasana. With her kind and friendly personality, it is clear that she is a valuable addition to Langley’s counseling staff.
