Hey Saxon fashionistas! I’m back with yet another diary entry. You may recall that I left off with a moment of glory from making the fashion show. Just as I expected, a lot has happened since then. I’ve been placed in the Metallic and Sequins scene. It wasn’t my first choice, although after I met with the girls in my group and the choreographing began, there was an instant spark that we all shared.
Now before I say any more, let me just say that I’m not the best dancer. Fashion is my forte, and dancing is—not my forte, as you probably already guessed. Our group is dancing to “Turn It Up” by Ciara feat. Usher, an upbeat song perfect for dancing to. Afraid of dancing like I had two left feet, I decided to take a chance and dance the best I could. Surprisingly, I managed to get the dance down with few mistakes— [insert squeals of joy here].
As for the outfits, which I must admit is the most important part, (and the most fashionable); I’ve already decided what I’m going to wear! All that’s left to do is get it approved by my fashion leaders and voila, my outfit will become a runway reality. I would normally say what I’ve chosen, but then it wouldn’t be such a stylish surprise, now would it? Enough about outfits, though, or else I may give too much away!
Through all the practices so far, (without catfights, thankfully), the best part has been meeting new people. I’ve gotten to know so many new people during fashion practice, some of whom I would have never had the chance to meet had I not tried out. Most importantly, though, I’ll have the opportunity to express my style in ways I’ve never imagined. As I mentioned before, I’m a total prep. Dressing in metallic and sequins will be quite different from my daily wardrobe, but that doesn’t mean I’m not up for the chic challenge!
