Have you ever had one of those days where you feel extra fashionable? Well, that was me today. Strutting the runway with my flowy black sequin-adorned top and delish skirt, I was having a pretty fab day. Our group finally perfected the dance we spent a month working on, changing this move and that. My last practice is rapidly approaching, and I know a part of me will always remember this rewarding experience. I can see it now: I hear our group song on the radio, a smile spreads across my face, and at that point I can’t help but dance along with our original moves.
A tremendous amount of work has gone into making this fashion show possible, from scenery to dance routines and the most important of all, the outfits. Our Metallic and Sequins group has really accomplished a great deal in the short but valuable time we’ve had in preparing for the night that’ll leave fashion-crazed and stylish Saxons on their toes.
After we added the finishing touches to our dance, a little competition was aroused with the other groups. I guess you could say we had a casual dance-off with the lace, bohemian, and animal print scenes. Of course each group leader thought there group’s dance was the best, but we can just blame that on human nature, right? Personally, I thought each group did extremely well. At the end of each dance, everyone was given constructive criticism to ensure that everything would be nearly perfect for premiere night.
The Metallic and Sequins girls have also decided on makeup and hair, which will be done by students studying to be professional make-up artists and hair stylists. I’m extremely excited about this, even if it means going in early on Saturday! I figured that if my hair and makeup isn’t going to be perfect on a daily basis, at least it can be for one night. As I expected, tickets are almost entirely sold out for the show. If you’re planning on going, buy them quick or face the danger of oblivion of the latest trends. With the runway as our catwalk, be prepared to walk into the wild!
Strike a pose,
