Blurring the Boundaries. The name might seem familiar, as it is emblazoned on every single yearbook in Saxon Country. With this year’s success, members of yearbook are doing everything in their power to uphold the high prestige of their publication.
Prior to the departure of yearbook advisor Ms. Mulligan, the editors of next year’s yearbook were officially chosen: Roxana Jahanbani and Sara Moinian. Having both joined yearbook as sophomores, the two are incredibly close according to Ms. Mamatas, their long-term substitute. “They’re a good team, which is the first positive element about them both. They work well together, and they step up to the plate. They know what needs to be done, and they take charge,” she said.
Preparations are already underway for next year’s yearbook, and the editors have decided that it will have a whole new positive spin on design. “As editor in chief my main goal is to create a theme that is stylistically appealing to the school, and creating a theme that includes all of the students,” said Moinian.
In order to ensure that next year’s yearbook reaches its full potential, the editors will compile everything they’ll need this summer. “It takes almost the whole year to create the yearbook. We start in July and go to a yearbook camp this year at Westfield High School where we learn about yearbook themes and come up with the plan for the yearbook before school starts,” said Jahanbani.
As the pressure of deadlines has been alleviated for the school year, the new editors have undertaken the challenge of improving next year’s yearbook, and they are confident that it will end in success.
