If you’re looking for a taste of French cuisine without paying for overpriced airfare or learning the language, the place to go is La Madeleine. La Madeleine is a country French café that serves a variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to satisfy your craving for French food.
Recently opened in Tyson’s Corner, La Madeleine is the perfect place to relax. When walking in, it is easy to feel the warm and homely ambiance of the restaurant. The interior is nicely decorated to give off the “French” feeling.
Whatever time you chose go, La Madeleine offers a wide menu of all different kinds of food to choose from. Ranging from their traditional crêpes, signature pasta, and fresh bread, La Madeleine has a great selection of French cuisine that will have you wanting more. “The food was really good, and I will defiantly be going back,” said freshman diner Morgan Kuligowski.
If you find that you don’t have much time on your hands, it’s no problem. La Madeleine is a self-serve restaurant, which gets your food to your plate (and then your mouth) much faster than a usual sit down restaurant. After ordering, there are plenty of tables and chairs to sit back, relax and enjoy your food.
Although La Madeleine does not come with an Eiffel Tower view, or serves any kind of escargot, French teacher Madame Nichols says, “Generally the food is accurate to the food in France, and is the cheapest and best way to try French food.” With fast service, delicious food, great prices, and an inviting atmosphere, I’d say that the next time you visit Tyson’s, La Madeleine is definitely worth a try. Bon appetit!
