Since late August, the numbers of burglaries committed by Edmonds had been increasing on an almost nightly basis. He was known for slipping into unlocked doors or cars, taking only cash, and leaving quickly. Until his capture, no one had ever seen or encountered Edmonds, which was fortunate as he was known to be carrying stolen guns.Â
So far, Edmonds has been charged with 13 felonies. He is being held in a Montgomery jail. Police are in the process of searching his house and car, and have already located a large amount of stolen property.
News of Edmonds’ arrest brings great relief to the Northern Virginia area, as residents no longer have to be so vigilant and cautious about keeping all of their windows locked and their purses out of sight.
