In a special Saxon Time presentation this week, guest speaker Sergeant Norbie Lara shared the story of how he lost his arm after being hit by an RPG (rocket propelled grenade). While it was extremely sad – several members of the audience were moved to tears – the story did have a happy ending. Lara described the charity he works for, the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps injured soldiers like himself. According to Lara, working on his charity has helped him overcome his post traumatic stress disorder, and motivated him to try new things.
