The Langley Bridge Club held an interest meeting during Saxon Time on April 26th to discuss their plans for next year.
The Club, sponsored by Langley Math Teacher Mr. Setzer, is focused on competitively playing Bridge, a card game played with a partner against another pair.
During the presentation, Mr. Setzer highlighted the benefits of playing Bridge, including participating in competitions against other area high school and possibly winning scholarships. Setzer added that being a founding member of the Bridge Team can be beneficial when it comes time to apply to college.
Mr. Setzer, who plays Bridge himself, said that “Every week I’m learning something new [about Bridge].”
The club is looking for 20 dedicated members who are willing to attend weekly meetings where they can learn how to competitively play Bridge. Students interested can e-mail Mr. Setzer at [email protected].
