If you passed by Ms. Rininger’s room this week you will notice balloons, cupcakes, brownies, and some flowers. This array of party like goodies is all due to the fact that today was Ms. Rininger’s last day walking into Langley as a sophomore World History teacher.
Rininger was planning on leaving Langley at the end of the year, and then start a new job with a law firm in the fall, but was recently offered a new job beginning in January, an opportunity she decided not to pass up. Rininger will still be living in D.C., just as she has the past couple of years.
Rininger admits that the thing she will miss the most about Langley is “the enthusiasm and laughter of my students, because usually law firms are very quiet places with not a lot of laughter.” Although she has been preparing for this opportunity by attending law school for the past three and a half years Ms. Rininger will still remember her days at Langley High school.
While closing one door, another is opening and Ms. Rininger is looking forward to this new chapter of her life and claims that “I’m excited at the opportunity to tackle new challenges.”
