Langley High School was ranked second in Virginia in the annual US News and World Report Best High School Rankings.
Langley was ranked 84th in the nation out of over 21,000 high schools that were evaluated across the country.
Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology took the top spot in Virginia and was ranked fourth overall in the nation.
The School for the Talented and Gifted located in Dallas, Texas was ranked first in the nation for the second year running. TJHSST claimed that spot from 2007-2010.
In last year’s rankings, Langley was ranked sixth in Virginia and 98th in the country.
McLean High School, which was ranked above Langley in last year’s list, was ranked fourth in the state for the second year in a row.
