After this school year, Langley teacher, Mr. Culbertson, will be leaving to teach at Thomas Jefferson High School. At Langley, he teaches Honors and AP Physics C for juniors and seniors, and at TJ he will teach Geosystems and Physics.
Mr. Culbertson has been teaching at Langley for eight years and has been in charge of Langley’s science fair. The science fair is a research competition in which students compete against each other with their own project.
Not only was Mr. Culbertson the coordinator of the science fair, but he was also the one who had the idea of starting the Pulsar project at Langley. Pulsar is a project funded by the National Science Foundation and the goal is to help students find new pulsars.
When asked about what he will miss most about Langley he responded with, “Pshhh, the students.”
