Thirteen Langley students qualified as National Merit Semifinalists this. Juniors last year took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, and those with scores above a certain cutoff qualified as semifinalists. Semifinalists will compete for the following scholarships: $2,500 National Merit scholarships, college-sponsored scholarships, and corporate-sponsored scholarships. Only about 8,000 are ultimately awarded to students across the country. The finalists and winners will be announced in 2014. The following people have qualified for the semifinals from Langley:
