Over the years, the Super Bowl halftime show has had miserable entertainment. Seriously, who wants to listen to a band with a bunch of guys who are 60 years old and put on makeup? “I think that the halftime show gets in the way of more commercials,” says freshman Dylan Novak. I agree with this.
Year after year, the Super Bowl committee has not been able to find a halftime show that people of all ages can enjoy. For example, this year was the Black Eyed Peas, who cater to teenagers and young adults. Older adults have no interest in the Black Eyed Peas.
In addition, the music group sang about love and peace. Isn’t that a contradiction to football? When I think about football I think about the gridiron, where there is hate not love.
I think that the Super Bowl committee needs to stop trying so hard and let the fans vote for the halftime entertainment.
