After a week filled with PJ’s, running shorts, tie-dye, Hawaiian shirts, and green, Langley’s latest spirit week culminated with Friday’s pep rally.
The rally featured a performance by Langley’s Dance Team, interviews with sports captains, a musical performance by senior Rob Knepper, and a prom asking.
At one point, three students were drenched with gallons of milk in front of the crowd of over 2,000.
Even with the many activities planned, some students were less than impressed. “I was really hyped up because of the week of spirit days, but I was disappointed at the pep rally,” said sophomore Yusrah Hasan. “I feel like the student body has more talent than what we show at the pep rallies.”
Freshmen Sofia Duque-Lewis added that “the crowd was pretty unenthusiastic.”
