Despite the team’s initial loss, boys JV lacrosse finished with a very strong 9-2 season. “We started with a loss and ended with a loss which was disappointing but the season was a lot of fun,” said sophomore midfielder John Poyner. As the freshmen and sophomores got to know each other better, the team began to mesh and build chemistry. Georgetown Prep dealt a hard blow to the team in its first game, winning 12-3. However the Saxons didn’t drag their feet and pushed forward, handily defeating their next nine opponents. Their impressive winning streak came to an end after losing to Oakton High School . Overall, the JV lacrosse team had a very strong season this year.
