With feet in the air and smiles on their faces, the dance team performed two holiday kick-routines this past weekend. The first performance took place in the annual Alexandria Parade of Lights, a procession of boats decorated with holiday lights. The Langley dance team performed to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas,” to a crowd of 3,000 people. Dressed in “Santa’s little helpers” outfits, the team was a huge hit.
The next day, the team performed at yet another parade, the McLean Winterfest.
“This was a wonderful opportunity to get the Dance Team out in the community to represent Langley during the holiday season,” said coach Ellen Shatzen. “We were thrilled to be part of [these] two tremendous events.”
The event organizers were thrilled to have Langleyparticipate in the parades, as well. “The team added an incredible amount of entertainment value to the 12th Annual Parade of Lights,” said Parde of Lights Event Organizer Garret O’Shea. “They truly went above and beyond, and we hope to have them back next year.”
