Last Friday, September 6th, the Langley Saxons Varsity Football team battled against the Chantilly Chargers; and after the end of the first half, the Saxons were still down 0-28. In the end, the Saxons suffered a loss to the Chargers, 7-41.

“It was a tough loss for us to start our home game season, but we’ll regroup and just work harder in practice,” senior Matt Flenniken said. “We made some good plays out there, but they just kept forcing tough decisions for us. It’s a setback for our season but we will adjust things and win our next game.”

“After the end of the first half in the locker room we lost a lot of our hope to win the game, but Coach Lamb started to hype us up giving us hope we can still win. We carried that hope into the second half,” senior Addison Wallace said. “Losing this game sucks but we’re not going to lose another game.”

Assistant Coach to the Chargers, Phil Brady, said, “Langley wasn’t an easy team, no matter what the score is. They challenged our players on offense. Our defense was really on point tonight which gave us the leverage we needed to win.”

“This game is over, next week we take on Robinson. We’re going to redeem ourselves when we beat them,” Wallace said.
