Harris LaTeef, Alumni
Hello! I’m Harris LaTeef and this is my third year on the staff of the Saxon Scope! If you’ve ever been to a Langley home Varsity Football game or sat through one of our famous pep rallies, chances are you’ve seen me running around with a massive camera from one place to another. Although it may be clunky, that camera has allowed me to get up close to the high school experiences that make a high school great. I’ve seen the Space Shuttle Discovery soar over the Langley campus on the back of a jumbo jet, I’ve been to the long awaited McLean Varsity Football AND Varsity Basketball games, and (this is the one I’m most proud of) I’ve taken a photo of not one, but two Mr. Ragone-s (Note to Freshman: ask an upperclassmen about that one) Aside from journalism, I’m the Co-Chair of the 2014 Relay For Life of Langley-McLean, I’m on the Student Advisory Team at the Newseum in Washington, and I’m a weekly volunteer at Reston Hospital Center. I also love to swim, travel, kayak (occasionally), and, of course, take photos. So, if you’ve ever at a Langley game and see me running around, give me a wave. It gets lonely in the press box.
