5:30 pm, Pizzeria Uno’s at Reston Town Center
Lucy: At the beginning, I had low expectations. I basically only signed up for the date so I could get a free dinner. But when I walked in and saw him, I was super happy and also nervous.
John: I was blown away by how pretty she was.
Lucy: My first impression was that he was pretty attractive, and really kind.
John: We walked over to Uno’s together…it was really cold outside. For dinner, we shared a large pepperoni pizza.
Lucy: He also got a really fruity, really pink drink. I thought that was really funny.
John: During dinner, we talked about everything – high school, friends, family.
Lucy: We did talk about everything. He told me about his modeling career.
John: She was very polite and conversational.
Lucy: While we were talking, I thought he was witty and super nice. He talked about his grandpa at one point.
John: Even though I’m a senior and she’s a sophomore, the age difference wasn’t really that big of a deal.
Lucy: The age difference made for good conversation.
John: After we finished our pizza, we shared a sundae for dessert.
Lucy: We had planned it to make sure we had enough money for both pizza and dessert.
John: At the end of the date, we didn’t need to exchange phone numbers because we already had each other’s numbers from SGA.
Lucy: He gave me a hug when I left. Overall, even though I went into the evening with low expectations, I thought it was a good date. If he asked me to hang out again, I would.
John: She was really nice. I might be interested in hanging out again.
