After two 15 minute halves, performances by students, and the “Taste of Langley,” the 2nd annual Student vs. Faculty soccer game once again ended with a tie, 1-1.
Last year, the game concluded in a tie, when both teams scored two goals each.
This year both the team coaches were confident and motivated before the game.
“We’re going to win because we’re young and voracious and we kick butt,” said sophomore and student team coach, Courtney Cuppernull.
Science teacher and faculty coach Ms. Betsy Jones was equally as bold when asked about the outcome of the game. “With age comes experience and final grades haven’t been given yet,” said Jones.
Langley students were released early to attend the game held in Langley’s stadium.
Throughout the game, students had the option to buy Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, pizza, snow-cones, and Langley merchandise, as part of the “Taste of Langley.”
