Review:
I first discovered this recipe when searching for and apple crisp or pie recipe that did not require pie dough, brown sugar, or milk because I was out of all of these ingredients. As a result, I did not have high expectations for the recipe. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was it really easy to make, but the prep time was really, short, and it tasted pretty good. The apples added enough natural sugar to cover the missing brown sugar, and the crisp part was crispy. The only downside in flavoring was that the crisp tasted exactly like butter and sugar, which still tasted pretty good. In addition, I forgot to remove the apple skin from my slices which added a weird texture to the filling. As a result, I would recommend making sure to take the skins off. Overall though, I would highly recommend this recipe because it requires few ingredients, is easy to make, and tastes delicious.
